Welcome to our first edition of Explorations
Olle Olsson, Explorica President & CEO
“Our staff around the world is excited for another exciting summer season and hope that you will join us.”

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the inaugural edition of Explorations for Summer Academy, our e-newsletter exclusively for teens interested in summer adventure tours & travel. This monthly online publication is a centerpiece in our journey to offer outstanding teen summer tours, and is a symbol of our commitment to provide excellent customer service and easy travel planning to our students and their guardians.

Over the past three years, Summer Academy has grown from an idea into a well respected name in the teen travel community. This past year has been a great year for Summer Academy. The class of 2006 comprised over 250 students from 33 different states and three different countries.

Another great development in 2006 was the opening of new Explorica offices in Mérida, Mexico and Warsaw, Poland. These new offices, along with our headquarters in Boston will help us provide an even better travel experience in 2007. Our staff around the world is excited for another exciting summer season and hope that you will join us.

We could not have achieved these accomplishments without the support of our travelers and their families. We look directly to our travelers to help us improve the product we deliver.  This coming year we have added a Morocco excursion to our Spain program.  This decision was made based on the input of our travelers.

Looking forward to 2007, we anticipate another record breaking year. Interest in our programs continues to grow and we are helping many of last year’s travelers plan another Summer Academy trip.  We look forward to being able to share our future plans and accomplishments with you, and to showcasing our Summer Academy travelers, Tour Directors, Chaperones and others who make Explorica stronger, in each edition of Explorations.
